LICHEN

After watching a documentary film on Lichen, I was mesmerized by their beauty. The film consisted of these macro shots of the lichen, professionally lit in a studio. Later I began to question the ethics of removing them from the forest for documentation. Could it be that their consent was violated? I set out to film lichens around Vancouver in an attempt to connect with them from their natural habitats.
